Garmin Delta XC
So you are looking for a remote dog trainer with all of the professional capabilities at a reasonable price? Look no further! Garmin is introducing the Delta XC series of remote trainers which have everything needed in a high-end remote trainer at a reasonable price point. The series include the Delta XC, Delta Sport XC and Delta Upland XC. I will start the review with the Garmin Delta XC, as it literally has everything needed for 95% of dog owners. If you do not need a no-bark collar feature included with your remote trainer, then the Delta XC has everything you need. The Delta Sport XC and Delta Upland XC both include the BarkLimiter bark control feature.
The Delta XC is a sleek, ergonomic, and easy-to-use remote trainer for people who want to teach their dogs new commands, or refocus their dog away from unwanted behaviors. Functioning as a “virtual leash,” the Delta XC gives dog owners a wide range of customizable correction settings, including tone, vibration, and 18 levels of momentary and continuous stimulation for up to three dogs at up to ½ mile away (additional dog devices sold separately). For 95% of dog owners, the Delta XC has everything you need in a remote trainer at a great price.
The Delta XC remote dog training system from Garmin, with proven Tri-Tronics technology, gives serious dog trainers more control with more simplicity. The handheld controller features intuitive, 3-button design with improved false-correction prevention (dog select lock) and easy-to-read LCD display. The compact dog device features changeable contact points (long and short). Together the system gives you 18 levels of continuous stimulation and 18 levels of momentary stimulation plus tone and vibration, in 3 correction configurations, and the ability to set the device to train 1, 2 or 3 dogs from up to ½ mile away (with purchase of additional dog devices).
Delta XC is ergonomically-designed to require only 1 hand to operate with 3 front action buttons for stimulation, tone and/or vibration. Side buttons and an easy-to-read LCD let the trainer switch easily between training configurations and different dogs being trained. The slim, compact dog device comes with interchangeable long and short contact points for all breeds and coat thicknesses and has an effective range of up to 1/2 mile.
Delta XC offers dog trainers the option of using continuous and momentary stimulation, vibration or tone. Or, use all 3 in one session. With 3 correction configurations (viewable in the LCD display), the trainer can select the training option best suited to the situation and dog temperament. Delta XC offers the ability to control up to 3 dogs (with additional dog devices sold separately) and quickly change between them.
Like all Garmin outdoor products, Delta XC is designed to be effective, rugged and waterproof (IPX7) with a long lasting rechargeable, lithium-ion battery in both the transmitter and dog device. The lightweight and compact Delta XC family handheld and collar unit are waterproof in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes, and the transmitter floats. Both the handheld and collar unit come with rechargeable batteries.
I am stoked about the new Delta XC from Garmin! These are new from Garmin, and are expected to be in stock in May 2015. The Garmin Delta XC can be purchased online: Garmin Delta XC.
