Garmin Delta Sport XC Remote Trainer

If you are looking for an affordable remote dog trainer that isn’t a cheap knock-off or a toy — one that has high-end professional features and a long-range, look no further! The new Garmin Delta Sport XC has just been released by Garmin in the Spring of 2015, and it is jam-packed full of professional features at a great price point.  In addition to professional features, its range is up to 3/4 mile making the range more than enough for most dog owners and situations.

Garmin Delta Sport XC has all of the features of the Delta XC, and includes the BarkLimiter to control nuisance barking.

The Delta Sport XC is a sleek, ergonomic, and easy-to-use remote trainer for people who want to teach their dogs new commands, or refocus their dog away from unwanted behaviors. Functioning as a “virtual leash,” the Delta Sport XC gives dog owners a wide range of customizable correction settings, including tone, vibration, and 36 levels of momentary and continuous stimulation for up to three dogs at up to 3/4 mile away (additional dog devices sold separately). For 98% of dog owners, the Delta Sport XC has everything you need in a remote trainer at a great price.

The Delta XC remote dog training system from Garmin, with proven Tri-Tronics technology, gives serious dog trainers more control with more simplicity.  The handheld controller features intuitive, 3-button design with improved false-correction prevention (dog select lock) and easy-to-read LCD display. The compact dog device features changeable contact points (long and short). Together the system gives you 36 levels of continuous stimulation and 36 levels of momentary stimulation plus tone and vibration, in 5 correction configurations, and the ability to set the device to train 1, 2 or 3 dogs from up to 3/4 mile away (with purchase of additional dog devices).

Delta Sport XC is ergonomically-designed to require only 1 hand to operate with 3 front action buttons for stimulation, tone and/or vibration. Side buttons and an easy-to-read LCD let the trainer switch easily between training configurations and different dogs being trained. The slim, compact dog device comes with interchangeable long and short contact points for all breeds and coat thicknesses and has an effective range of up to 3/4 mile.

Delta Sport XC offers dog trainers the option of using continuous and momentary stimulation, vibration or tone. Or, use all 3 in one session. With 5 correction configurations (viewable in the LCD display), the trainer can select the training option best suited to the situation and dog temperament. Delta Sport XC offers the ability to control up to 3 dogs (with additional dog devices sold separately) and quickly change between them.

The Delta Sport XC also includes BarkLimiter, which is a built-in bark control device, so that the collar can double as a bark control collar after training has been completed.  If you do not require the BarkLimiter, then you may want to consider the Delta XC which does not include bark control.

Like all Garmin outdoor products, Delta Sport XC is designed to be effective, rugged and waterproof (IPX7) with a long lasting rechargeable, lithium-ion battery in both the transmitter and dog device. The lightweight and compact Delta XC family handheld and collar unit are waterproof in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes, and the transmitter floats. Both the handheld and collar unit come with rechargeable batteries.

I am pretty excited about this new series of remote dog trainers from Garmin.  The Garmin Delta Sport XC can be purchased online at ShopForPuppy, where a portion from each sale will be donated to Rescue and helping dogs in need.
